A Fort Worth law enforcement officer is accused of destroying photos of child pornography off of a man’s laptop, the law enforcement office said in a news launch

Sgt. Rodsdricke Martin was fired Tuesday subsequent an administrative investigation into the January incident. He was also indicted by a Grand Jury for tampering with physical proof associated to the circumstance in March.

The technician noted the incident to her supervisor, who opened an investigation with healthcare facility security, which incorporated Martin, who was working in an off-duty capacity. Instead of seizing the laptop and reporting the crime, officers claimed Martin deleted the pictures, in accordance to the Star-Telegram. 

Martin, a 16-calendar year veteran with the police division, was arrested on March 29 soon after he was indicted. Prior to his arrest, Martin was placed on unpaid suspension while the administrative investigation was becoming finalized. 

Officials claimed Martin violated many department policies.
