GitHub Copilot AI coding assistant is now generally available

GitHub’s controversial AI-run coding assistant, Copilot, is now typically available to all builders.

GitHub Copilot is priced at $10 per month or $100 a calendar year, but is free for confirmed students and maintainers of popular open supply projects, GitHub said on June 21. A 60-day totally free trial also is offered. Released in a specialized preview last year, the device plugs into the user’s programming editor and indicates strains of code and capabilities based on the present-day context.
